Create Without Limits Scholarship

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Create Without Limits Scholarship ("Scholarship") offered by the Institute of Creative Design ("ICD"). By applying for the Scholarship, applicants agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

  • Be aged 18 or over at the time of enrollment.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification (self-certification accepted; ICD reserves the right to request official documentation for verification if needed).
  • Apply for one of ICD's eligible programs: Associate Degrees in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, or Photography.

Application requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • A personal statement (200–300 words) describing their passion and motivation for creative study.
  • A creative sample demonstrating their creative thinking and interest in their chosen field.
Creative sample guidance:

We welcome informal or early-stage work - this is not a formal portfolio. Examples include:
  • Graphic Design applicants: sketch, poster, logo, collage, etc.
  • Fashion Design applicants: garment sketch, styled photo, moodboard, illustration, etc.
  • Photography applicants: 1–3 photographs you have taken.
  • Interior Design applicants: sketch of a space, moodboard, floorplan, styled room photo.
  • One submission only is required; personal projects welcome.
  • Acceptable formats: PDF or image file (JPG/PNG).

Scholarship award

Covers 100% tuition fees for core program courses only. Does not cover General Education courses ($180 per credit hour), materials, textbooks, technology, or any additional fees. Award applies only to programs commencing Fall 2025.

Number of scholarships

A maximum of five (5) scholarships will be awarded per eligible program, subject to available places.

Selection criteria

Scholarships will be awarded based on:

  • The quality and authenticity of the applicant’s personal statement,
  • The effort, enthusiasm, and creativity demonstrated in the creative sample,
  • The relevance of the sample to the chosen program (early-stage work is acceptable - polish is not required).
  • The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Application process and deadline

Applications must be received by the published deadline (currently October 6, 2025, 11:59pm EST), unless otherwise extended by ICD at its discretion.

Other conditions

Scholarships are non-transferable, non-deferrable, and have no cash value. Recipients must enroll and commence study in Fall 2025. Failure to enroll may result in forfeiture.

ICD reserves the right to verify applicant information and withdraw a Scholarship if false or misleading information is provided.

ICD reserves the right to modify, withdraw, extend, or terminate the Scholarship program prior to awarding scholarships, without prior notice.

Publicity disclaimer

Scholarship recipients may be asked (but are not required) to participate in reasonable publicity activities. ICD will obtain separate consent before using recipients’ names, images, or likenesses for marketing.

Education disclaimer

The Scholarship applies only to tuition fees for specified ICD online programs. Receipt of a Scholarship does not guarantee completion; recipients must meet ICD's academic requirements.

Limitation of liability disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, ICD accepts no liability for any loss or damage incurred as a result of applying for or participating in the Scholarship program, including but not limited to costs for materials, technology, or General Education courses.
